The New City Catechism is a question-and-answer format. Each week focuses on only one question and one answer. The goal is to memorize each question and each answer. For example, during week 1, we will focus on the question, "What is our only hope in life and death." The answer: "That we are not our own but belong, body and soul, both in life and death, to God and to our Savior Jesus Christ." That's it. That's all you have to learn for the week! Each Sunday morning during worship, we will publicly review the question and answer that we learned the week before. By the end of 52 weeks, you will have a more comprehensive theological understanding.

For children, there is a condensed version of each question that will help them grasp the main point of the truth learned.
