At Emmanuel Kids, we take safety and security seriously. We recognize the the changing landscape of our culture and have put into place specific procedures and policies to keep the kids entrusted in our care safe. To learn how we do this, click here for our "How We Keep Kids Safe" pamphlet.
Further, we recognize that all kids have unique needs. Therefore, we strive to do our best to take any precautions that are needed for individual children. "God created man in his own image; he created him in the image of God; he created them male and female" (Gen. 1:27). Those words describe not only how we view adults, but also children. At Emmanuel, we believe that children, as image bearers of God, were created with the purpose of knowing, enjoying, and glorifying God.
Therefore, our goal for the children who are entrusted to us is that they would begin the foundations for understanding their identity in Jesus and finding their place in his story.
Listed below, we have descriptions of the ways in which we strive to accomplish our goal.
Kids are active learners. We believe that the best way for children to learn to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ is to live out the faith.
Therefore, we have many opportunities for children to express the gospel. From children's performances on designated Sunday mornings, to serving side-by-side with the adults of Emmanuel in gospel ministry, our kids have opportunities to see faith, make it their own, and live it out.
In a world where children were seen as a nuisance, Jesus valued children (Matt. 19:14). At Emmanuel Kids, children are loved and cared for in a way that seeks to emulate the love Jesus has for children. Every person who serves in Emmanuel Kids has a passion for reaching children for Jesus Christ.
Emmanuel Kids is a place for every kid. We recognize value their individual needs and seek to do our best in helping their glorify God.
Our mission at Emmanuel is to help people become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. We believed that this mission includes all ages, including our littlest. Therefore, we have many opportunities (described below) for children to find their place in God's story and learn what it means to be a fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
On Wednesday nights during the school year, from 6:00-7:30, children from Kindergarten through 6th grade come together for a night of fun, adventure, meeting new friends, gaining leadership and life skills that will aid them in their walk with Christ through their lifetime. Our committed AWANA staff will walk with your children to know who God is, what Christ has done for them, and their place in His story.
AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15) and our goal is that children will not only be introduced to Jesus Christ, but that they would also learn to live a life that is set out for him.

Every Sunday morning at 9:00, the kids take over many of our classrooms to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus and how to understand His word.
We recognize that the needs of children in early childhood may require them to have an outlet during the worship service. Therefore, we provide children's church for ages 2-5 where kids have a structured curriculum that is appropriate for their age.
If parents are more comfortable with keeping their children (regardless of age) in the worship service we welcome that as well.
During both the Sunday School hour as well as the worship service, we offer a nursery for children from ages 0-2. It is facilitated by Emmanuel folks who love children and are gifted at interacting with them.
Every summer Emmanuel hosts a week-long Bible camp that is fun, high-energy and yet doctrinally sound to help children understand the goodness and glory of what Jesus has done for them.
VBS 2023 will be June 19-23.
